RETA (GLP-3)

A 39-residue synthetic peptide supplied as a lyophilised cake in sealed clear borosilicate vials under a nitrogen headspace. Released at 99.2% area-percent, with identity confirmed by ESI-MS against a reference standard. The 20 mg and 30 mg options are simply two and three vials of that same released lot, which is why every option on this page quotes one certificate rather than three: the material is identical and only the quantity in the carton changes. The certificate for the lot in the box records the column, gradient and detection wavelength used, which is what makes the released figure something you can reproduce on your own instrument rather than something you have to take on trust.

1. 01Equilibrate the sealed vial to ambient temperature before breaking the seal — condensate drawn into a cold vial changes what the gravimetric fill figure on the certificate refers to.
2. 02Inspect the cake against a light source before any laboratory use. The released appearance line is on the certificate; anything that disagrees with it is a reason to stop and contact the documentation desk.
3. 03The 20 mg and 30 mg options are two and three sealed vials from the same lot rather than a larger single fill, so each vial carries the same certificate and the same released figures.
4. 04Single-entry vial. Once the closure is pierced the released sterility and endotoxin figures no longer describe the contents.
5. 05Keep unopened vials desiccated and log every entry against the lot in your own records.
6. 06Dispose of unused material and rinsate according to your institution's chemical waste procedure.
