About this material

What it is

A copper-complexed tripeptide widely used as a reference material in dermal and matrix-biology screening work. Supplied lyophilised in amber glass under a nitrogen headspace, with a cake uniform enough to inspect visually against the appearance line on the certificate. Every vial carries the lot number printed on the label; the certificate for that lot is in the archive before the vial leaves the facility.

Laboratory handling

Storage and material handling

  1. 01Equilibrate the sealed vial to ambient temperature before breaking the seal — condensate drawn into a cold vial will raise residual water above the released figure.
  2. 02Copper complexes are light-sensitive. Keep the vial in its amber outer or in foil while on the bench.
  3. 03Aliquot rather than repeatedly thawing a single stock. Record every freeze-thaw against the lot in your own log.
  4. 04Dispose of unused material and rinsate according to your institution's chemical waste procedure.

Laboratory storage and material handling only. No dose, concentration, route, frequency or administration guidance is provided for this or any other item, for humans or animals.

Cold chain held, packaging is over-engineered

Arrived on the second morning with the gel packs still firm and the temperature indicator unbroken. My only note is that unpacking generates a genuinely absurd volume of foam for two vials. Our waste stream noticed.
